about

This collection contains almost two and a half hours of Moog Modular software synthesizer improvisations by Weasel Walter, compiled in June 2014.

"I consider this to be one of my least commercial offerings to date, if not the absolute nadir. I dare you to listen to this whole thing in one sitting. You are busy. You don't have the time.

Apparently I was in some kind of extended fugue state at some point when I lived in Oakland, California and I recorded all of these pieces using Moog Modular synthesizer software and a MIDI keyboard. It does appear that careful editing has taken place, because my intent has always been to offer, you, the discriminating Weasel Walter fan, only the finest material.

During the past week, a late night ritual has occurred wherein I have obsessed about obscure details regarding various videos from the historical 1983 US Festival, held in Southern California. My partner on many of these voyages has been Tim Dahl. Both of us are obsessed with minutiae concerning personnel of the early mainstream post-new wave bands who dominated MTV airplay circa 1982-1984. This collection pays tribute to those aesthetic warriors and their ability to generate income despite their mental illnesses and/or lack of talent.

Also, one of these tracks goes out to G.G. Allin, because he still rules.

I personally guarantee this is not worse music than most bad vintage synth albums nerds pay a lot of money on Discogs for. If it aids you to think this music is by one of those people, please don't let me stand in your way. Take that Klonopin, kick right back in your easy chair and let the bad vibes just take you away.

If ten bucks means nothing to you, just send it to me immediately for this album and I will lustily devour a hamburger in your honor.

Cheers."
