about

This audio documentary (produced by Burke Patten during the mid-1990s) is an oral history of the so-called "Chicago No Wave" scene that crashed and burned quickly through the gutters of a bygone era. Featuring words and music by Bobby Conn, Weasel Walter, Marlon Magas, Kelly Kuvo, Kevin Drumm and others, this slice of raw audio vérité is a warts-and-all look at a blinding momentary flash of aesthetic movement, as told by some of the participants slightly after the fact.
